The Third Winner of the Milk Bowl Memories Contest Announced

Thunder Road has announced this week’s (Wednesday, April 25) winner in the Milk Bowl Memories Contest as Scott Haskell of Belmont, New Hampshire. Haskell is the second winner of a pair of tickets to the 50^th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl scheduled for Sunday, September 30.

Haskell’s memory is from the first ever Milk Bowl in 1962 (won by Harold “Hardluck” Hanaford) and he was 11 years old at the time: “In 1962, I watched my uncle “Hardluck” Hanaford win his first Milk Bowl in the #7 car. In 1964, I watched him do it again in his own #30. I’ve been going to the Milk Bowl ever since.”

The fourth of 20 winners in the Milk Bowl Memories Contest will be announced next Wednesday, May 2. That winner will receive another pair of Milk Bowl tickets. All 20 ticket winners from now until Wednesday, August 22 will then be eligible for two (2) season passes for the 2013 season at Thunder Road. That winner will be decided based on a poll on the Thunder Road website between the 20 memory winners.
