The Second Winner of the Milk Bowl Memories Contest Announced
Thunder Road has announced this week’s (Wednesday, April 18) winner in the Milk Bowl Memories Contest as Brian Bedor of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Bedor is the second winner of a pair of tickets to the 50th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl scheduled for Sunday, September 30.
Bedor’s memory is from the 1998 Milk Bowl (won by Brian Hoar) and he was 19 years old at the time: “Hard to pick just one memory. I would have to go with my first year going to Thunder Road in 1998. My memory is of all the pre-race ceremony. I think it is neat with all the bag pipes and drill team. It’s such an amazing event to be a part of. I have been every year since 1998. It’s one of the events I look forward to every year. I just think it is special that a little short track in Northern Vermont can put on such an awesome event. Also drinking the milk and kissing the cow is cool.”
The third of 20 winners in the Milk Bowl Memories Contest will be announced next Wednesday, April 25. That winner will receive another pair of Milk Bowl tickets. All 20 ticket winners from now until Wednesday, August 22 will then be eligible for two (2) season passes for the 2013 season at Thunder Road. That winner will be decided based on a poll on the Thunder Road website between the 20 memory winners. Last Updated Wednesday, April 18 2012 @ 08:58 AM EDT; 699 Hits
