The Tenth Winner of the Milk Bowl Memories Contest Announced

Thunder Road has announced this week’s (Wednesday, June 13) winner in the Milk Bowl Memories Contest as Michael Lovely, Jr. of Lyndonville, VT. Lovely is the tenth winner of a pair of tickets to the 50th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl scheduled for Sunday, September 30.

Lovely’s memory is of the 2001 Milk Bowl (won by Dwayne Lanphear) and he was 31 years old at the time: “I had gotten married in 1996 on Milk Bowl weekend and hadn’t been able to go for a couple of years, but in 2001 I talked my wife into going away in the middle of the week, so then I could go to the Milk Bowl. I have liked Dwayne Lanphear since 1991. I liked him because he was the Bad Boy. He was aggressive. That year (2001) he won the Milk Bowl and that was the best memory I have in the twenty-two years I’ve gone to Thunder Road.”

The eleventh of 20 winners in the Milk Bowl Memories Contest will be announced next Wednesday, June 20. That winner will receive another pair of Milk Bowl tickets. All 20 ticket winners from now until Wednesday, August 22 will then be eligible for two (2) season passes for the 2013 season at Thunder Road. That winner will be decided based on a poll on the Thunder Road website between the 20 memory winners.
