Thunder Road SpeedBowl
ACTion News 3/28/05
Mall walkers beware – ACT is coming to town! For the third year in a row, Burlington, VT’s University Mall will host over 20 ACT race cars for the gawking, drooling, photo snapping, and racing-appetite wetting. It all begins this Saturday, April 2 at 9:30am – and yes, that cool little remote control car track will be there! It’s always a no-holds-barred slugfest when those little cars fire up. And who knows – you may find yourself racing for the win against the likes of champion drivers Jean-Paul Cyr (right), Jamie Fisher, Reno Gervais, Joe Small, or heck, even your Mom!

We took a bit of a sneak peek at the shiny new cars at the Champlain Valley Motorsports Show in Plattsburgh, NY last weekend, and saw some great looking machinery. Sprinkled among the many cars from various divisions and race tracks were the ACT Late Models of Cyr, Mark Lamberton, Bryant Trim, and Rusty Berger. (Click here for pictures!) All four cars are sporting a new look this year, and each are early favorites for taking top honors at the official ACT Car Show, held in conjunction with the Thunder Road season opener (April 30/May 1). That all depends, of course, on any dents and tire marks left over from the Seacoast Late Model Challenge 100 at Lee USA Speedway a week before.
