Thunder Road Community Donates Thousands to Local Food Shelf

The Thunder Road community of fans, competitors and officials came together during the Bond Auto Labor Day weekend event to accumulate thousands of dollars in food and cash donations for the Waterbury Food Shelf. The Waterbury area was one of the hardest hit during last week’s Hurricane Irene devastation. The Waterbury Food Shelf was not spared and lost its entire inventory.

The town of Waterbury, like many towns in Vermont, continues to pick up after the devastation of Irene. The Thunder Road food drive is a great example of Vermonters coming together to help each other.
