The American Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced four winners for the drawings held at early season car shows at the University Mall (located in Burlington, Vermont) and the Berlin Mall (located in Berlin, Vermont). All winners are residents of the Green Mountain State. The winners of the drawing include Ruth Lacombe of Randolph, Bryce Osgood, a resident of Corinth, Lisa Chandler of Colchester, and Huntingtonís Luke Rixon. The drawing winners walk away with a set of tickets for the 47th season opener, the Merchants Bank 150, at the high-banked, quarter-mile asphalt oval in Barre, Vermont.

Lisa Chandler and Luke Rixon entered to win the tickets at the fifth annual University Mall car show. The two-day event in Chittenden County was held on March 25th and 26th. At the show, two-time and defending Street Stock champion Joe Small of Georgia, Vermont unveiled his Tiger Sportsman car. Milton, Vermontís own, Jean-Paul Cyr, the five-time and reigning ACT Late Model title holder displayed his new paint scheme for the 2006 season at the show.

Bryce Osgood, Ruth Lacombe and hundreds of other fans came to see the cars and stars of the ACT on display at the second annual Berlin Mall car show. The central Vermont event was a two-day show held on April 8th and 9th. Tiger Sportsman sophomore standouts Nick Sweet of Barre, Vermont and Matt White a Northfield resident were at the show displaying their automobiles to the fans. The ďFlying SenatorĒ Phil Scott of the capital city (Montpelier, Vermont) was also on hand with his #14 ACT Late Model Sportsman.

The Nationís Site of Excitement kicks off the season opener on Saturday, April 29th with a car show on Main Street in Barre City. The annual event will feature a pit stop competition and a parade of the race cars; from the show to the track- a 2.5 mile route. The Merchants Bank 150 is set for Sunday, April 30th and will begin with class day festivities which includes; a photograph of all the drivers and their automobiles on the racetrack. Divisions in action for the season opener include the ACT Late Models, NAPA Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and PowerShift Junkyard Warriors.
