Thunder Road SpeedBowl
Management at Barre, Vermont's Thunder Road International Speedbowl has announced that the high-banked, quarter-mile oval will not raise prices for the 2006 race season. Darla Hartt, the track's general manager said, "With the recent increase in energy and related prices, Thunder Road felt this was the right thing to do for our loyal fans. We pride ourselves in offering some of the best racing in the country for the lowest prices."

Prices for most weekly events in 2005, (and now in 2006), were $9.00 for adults and $3.00 for children, ages 6-12. The track also offers an $18 "Family Fare" ticket for any two adults and two kids (ages 6-12). Prices are slightly higher for select special events.
Additionally, the cost for the track's popular Season Pass options will not increase. An adult general admission pass will remain at $180, a savings of $42 off individually purchased tickets. A child's pass will again cost $50 for the 19 planned events in 2006. The Gold Season Pass, which provides the ticket holder with a specific, reserved seat for all stock car racing events will hold steady at $250.
Thunder Road's 2006 season, its 47th, will open on Sunday, April 30 with the eighth running of the Merchants Bank 150 for the ACT Tour. Other events on the 2006 schedule include two of the highly popular ACTion Super Series races. The 2005 versions of the ACTion Super Series races averaged 54 cars.
Orders for 2006 Season Passes are now being accepted by the Thunder Road office. Additional information can be obtained by calling (802) 244-6963 or by sending an e-mail to
