University Mall Car Show Kicks Off Spring For ACT Teams
Burlington, VT – A group of American-Canadian Tour (ACT) race teams will get an early start to their 2005 season with the third annual ACT Car Show at The University Mall. Over 20 race cars will be on display from 9:30am until 9:30pm on Saturday, April 2, and from 11:00am until 6:00pm on Sunday, April 3.

Cars and drivers from ACT’s Late Model Tour and Tiger Sportsman Series, as well as all four racing divisions from Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl will be on hand for the event. ACT Late Model Tour Champion Jean-Paul Cyr of Milton, VT (left) and Thunder Road Late Model Rookie of the Year Rusty Berger of South Burlington, VT will greet fans and sign autographs alongside their shiny new racing machines. Two-time defending “King of the Road” Reno Gervais of Island Pond, VT will represent the NAPA Tiger Sportsman division, while Allen Lumber Street Stock Thunder Road Champion Joe Small of Milton, VT will show off his new ride.

Joining the 2004 Champions will be ACT Late Model stars Brent Dragon, Jamie Fisher, Steve Fisher, Rich Lowrey, Jerry Lesage, Bryant Trim, David Chagnon, and Dave Wilcox, and 2005 Rookie of the Year contenders Bill Sawyer, Scott Payea, and Ryan Nolin.

The NAPA Tiger Sportsman division will see top contenders Jason Bonnett, Marcel Gravel, and Doug Murphy, with Allen Lumber Street Stock veterans David Allen, Josh Payea, and Garry Bashaw (right). Eric LaFleche of Graniteville, VT will have his PowerShift Junkyard Warrior Pontiac convertible on display as well.
